Learning a language can be a passion or a must, so what usually drives people to start learning a language is nothing more than the personal motivation. This does not typically apply to the younger population, for which any form of studying is only considered work.

But what if people know the actual advantages of learning a language? Not only the obvious fact of being able to travel or communicate to different people, but the actual brain development, the feeling that accompanies this journey, or the understanding of your own mother tongue.

Did you know that children who are exposed to two different language before the age of 2 are more problem solving in life? And that the threshold of the brain being an actual sponge is 14 years old? Or that learning a language develops both side of the brain?

In order to learn a language you need creativity, memory and logic. Impressive, right? And working on them from a young age creates an amazing set of life long skills.

You will learn to think in different ways, in order to find alternative ways to express the same thought, given that your limited vocabulary won't allow you to say exactly what you are thinking. You will learn to fight the awkward feeling of not being good enough, and yet understand that enough means the person in front of you understands your message...

You will feel a superhero, but also the opposite of it, which will teach you accept your limits and work with it.

You will learn patience in accepting that it takes time to make it happen.

Learning a language is so much more than what you think. Some people love it from lesson one, others learn to love it. Because once you experience how it makes you feel, you will not want to stop :)
